Mommy had a Baby!

I just found out Baby Jane arrived! Born at 7.10 this morning, she was 9 lbs, 8 oz, 19.75 inches, and both baby and Mommy are doing well.

Go here for pictures!

Let's get physical

I've decided it is time for me to get into shape so I started working out. Here I am on the black, crazy, bike, walking kind of thing. I climbed up there but it didn't do anything. Daddy says I'm too small to make it work right and that I'm pefect just like I am. I think this whole excercise thing is for the birds.

I'm so cute

Sunday we went to church so I got to get all dressed up. Mom was impressed that I didn't put a hole in my tights and that I was willing to wear my hat.

4th Trimester

Mommy is now in her 4th trimester. I don't know what this means exactly but I do know mom is about as wide as our pretty Christmas tree. She went to see her doctor today and he says that baby Jane should come this week and if she doesn't then he will make her come on Monday.

No Baby Sister Yet

Everyone at daycare has been asking -- where's Baby Jane? I just point to my stomach. I haven't seen my little sister yet. Everyone seems to think she's around, but I don't think she is. Mommy, what did you do with Baby Jane?

I kissed a boy!

At my great-grandmother Reva's birthday party last night, I ran up and kissed a boy. He's my second cousin Luke (son of my Mom's cousin Stacia), and we're both two, so it seemed just right to give him a great big kiss!

Christmas decorations, but no baby yet!

We spent Friday after Thanksgiving doing Christmas decorations. But no signs of my baby sister yet. Is Mommy nesting? Or is she just hanging ornaments? Only time will tell.

Cha Cha, Famous Chef!

In twenty years or so, when you're eating at my Michelin starred restaurant, you'll be able to look back on this blog post and see how I got my start -- stirring stuffing for Thanksgiving dinner. I love to cook.

(Dad's comment -- no pressure intended. )

Not much to report

My Mommy hasn't had my new sister yet. I really like babies and like to pet them when they cry, so Mommy and Daddy say that I'll be a great big sister. Right now we're just sitting around...waiting for Baby Jane to show up.

Baby Jane's room

Did you ever see such a pretty room? This is Baby Jane's room. It's not finished yet, but it's mostly done, and what's done looks amazing. Mommy and Daddy spent so much time on it, and I know Baby Jane is going to love it.

(If my room wasn't the big one, I'd take Baby Jane's room -- in a second!)

(Dad's commentary: this room taught me not to be a professional painter. It was a few weeks of work, five coats of primer and paint, a few tries at doing the border, a lot of touch-ups, and some skilled decorating courtesy of me Missus and my Mother-in-Law. It turned out well -- but Kid 3 gets a can of spray paint and some stickers)Posted by Picasa

Happy Birthday to Me and Mommy!

Did you know that Mommy and I have the same birthday? It's true. And this year we decided to have a joint party after trick or treating. It was the best! Check out the photo album for more pictures!

Big Trick or Treat Night!

It's Hallow'een tonight, and we all went Trick or Treating. True, I ran from every house that had a barking dog. And it's also true that my costume was a little warm for Texas (I was a furry ladybug). But I got loads and loads of candy, and look forward to sugar coma for the next six weeks! Won't my Mommy and Daddy have fun with me!?!

(Daddy's commentary: It's true. She did have a dog encounter at the first five houses we visited. We felt bad, she'd bravely walk up to the door with her cousin Jake, Jake would ring the doorbell, she'd hear or see a dog coming and she'd retreat down the walk as fast as she could. What do you do about that as a Dad? I tried lifting her onto my shoulder but she wasn't impressed. Finally Mom covering her back seemed to do the trick. But she really doesn't like dogs.)

Scary Pumpkin

Daddy and I worked hard tonight. Remember that pumpkin we brought home from the Fall Festival at church? Well, Daddy and I opened it up, scraped all the guts out, and then Daddy carved a scary, scary face on it. It was beautiful! And then when he was done, we took it outside, put lights inside it, and started scaring people who had never seen such a scary pumpkin.

The Silly Juggling Man

This has been a busy month. First swings, then pumpkins, and then our neighborhood brings a juggler to make us laugh during the Fall Festival. He juggled everything -- tennis rackets, apples, small children, churches, lead, and maybe a duck. Oh, and I forgot fire. He was amazing.

Maybe I want to be a juggler. Maybe...I could juggle pumpkins...on a swing!

Splish splash, he was takin' a bath..

Our church had a Fall Festival this weekend, and there was a funny man who got to take baths with his clothes on. He needed help to take the baths, so I made sure he got a good cold bath by throwing a ball at a target. It was fun (but I don't want to take baths with my clothes on, they get squishy!)
