Janie in the snow

At first, Janie was not sold on this whole cold, white, wet stuff....
then I picked her up and she got in better spirits about it all...
and once she figured out how to walk in snow, she didn't mind it so much...

Then it was time for some improvements...

Snow Man, Round 1

Cha Cha loved helping her dad make a snow man...and by snow man I mean half snow, half dead grass man.

Snow Days

After nap time this afternoon the snow was really coming down and Charlotte enjoyed getting out in it...she kept eating the snow off her gloves.

Then it was time for snow angels!

A day at the museum

A few weekends ago, Brian and I took the girls to the Austin Children's Museum for a fun morning. To our surprise it was engineering day there so the girls got in free and got to build all sorts of stuff and experiment with new things - and Cha Cha got a new hat.

Here she goes...

It is always so amazing to me how different Janie and Charlotte can be. When Charlotte was Janie's age, the only way she'd go down the slides was if her daddy was holding her or it was an open slide and she could hold our hands as she went down. Janie on the other hand has no problem trying it out on her own. Here she is going....

going...

gone!

Janie at the park

Janie too enjoyed the swings (even if her face doesn't totally look like she is having fun)

she found the slide and enjoyed trying to go up it more than she liked going down it.

"ohh...another slide" she thinks.

A day at the park

This weekend was very cold but the sun came out for a bit on Saturday so we bundled up the kids and took them to the park. Charlotte had a great time on the swing...

peaking up over the rails....

racing (and beating) her sister to the top of the ramp...

and going down the slide pole with daddy's help.

Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting

A few weeks ago Charlotte started Kung Fu at her school and last week her uniform arrived. She was so excited to get a real uniform like the adults wear.

Here she is multi-tasking by showing us her kung fu moves and watching cartoons on tv.

The group she is in is called "little dragons" so there is a dragon on the back of her uniform.
