A checkup fit for a princess

Cha Cha had her 4 year check up this morning. She was so surprised to find Fairy Godmother and all the princesses at the doctor's office. She just had to get her picture taken with all of them!

Princess Tiana even let Charlotte hold Prince Naveen for the photo! I think she is trying to decide if she should kiss him or not.

PRESENTS!

After getting home late from the Trick or Trunk party, it was time for our family party. We had dinner and then let Charlotte open up a few of her gifts.

The bell for her bike was the favorite and Janie really wanted to know how to make it ring too.

Trick or Trunk

The school the kids go to had a Halloween party on Charlotte's Birthday. Charlotte was so excited that all her friends were going to a party for her and bringing her presents - it took some effort, but I finally managed to convince her that it was not a birthday party and all her friends were not bringing her gifts. Once she got over not getting 30 more presents, she was excited for the party.

I am on the events committee that planned the event and originally we were getting parents to decorate the trunk of their cars so the kids could trick or "trunk" and stock up on all kinds of goodies. However, Mother Nature kicked up the winds and so we moved everything inside and it was a great party. All the kids walked away with tons of candy and pencils and games.

Charlotte found her favorites at this bucket and hung out for a while here getting handful after handful.

Janie and her friend preferred this bucket of goodies. Her friend had my favorite costume of the night as he dressed up as a Chilian miner (his mom is from Chile so that just made it even better!).

The Round Rock Fire Department is located across the street from their school and the kids love seeing the firemen and the big trucks when they are outside. Another parent on the events committee got the firemen to come to the party with a truck and the kids had a blast!

Janie got in on the fun too!

Charlotte's School Party

At Charlotte's new school they have a tradition where on a child's birthday the parents bring in pictures of the kid at various ages and those pictures are shared with the class so they can see what their friends looked like as babies and what they have done in their short lives. They do it year by year and inbetween the "years" they sing a song about how the earth goes around the sun. Charlotte thought it ws great!

She enjoyed how excited her friends got when they saw the pictures and were courious about them all.

After they looked at pictures, it was time for the pizza party. I, along with Aunt Lisa and Mr. Jon, brought pizza for all the kids and they had a great time. I'm not sure why Charlotte was being goofy and trying to lick me in this picture, but when you are that cute, you can get away with anything.

Janie did ot enjoy the party so much since she is in another class and was not included. She got so upset when she saw me and just wouldn't calm down until I held her for a bit and brought her a slice of pizza too.

Not quite fishing

After all the rain Round Rock had the place where Brian and Cha Cha went fishing got messed up from a bunch of rocks that were swept into the river. The good news is that it is still a good place to go and have fun.

Charlotte got to wade in the water and sit on the round rock that the city is named after.

No body puts baby in the corner?

Jane found a new play place today. She thinks it is too funny to run in and out of this little nook.

and then I think she put herself in time out.
