Learning to walk

This past weekend we got out one of Charlotte's old toys to help Janie learn to walk. She is getting closer everyday and is now standing unsported on her own.

She liked playing with all the pulls and knobs on the cart.

Even though I didn't get a picture of it, she did actually use the cart to walk around upstairs.

Janie would be a pro walker but Cha Cha keeps stealing it from her and using is as her "grocery store".

Party, party, party

This weekeng we went to another birthday party for one of Charlotte's friends. It was at a water playscape park and Cha Cha had a great time. Here she is with Lauren, Fallon, and Addison waiting for pizza and cake.

Then it was time to build sandcastles.

Taking a Bath

I love baths. There's nothing better than hanging out in the sink, scrubbing myself with a washcloth, and splashing whoever it is that's bathing me that day. In this picture I have sweet potatoes on my cheeks and a song in my heart!

Mommy and Me

I'm a wiggle-worm. I don't usually like to be held. But when Mommy holds on to me, I get peaceful and happy. Here's a happy time, just resting in my Mommy's arms.

Attack Baby Pins Daddy

I'm an attack baby. I know kung fu! And you can see what happens when I get my daddy on the floor -- he's pinned and cannot move thanks to my patented right-handed eyebrow hold! Hi-ya!

Jane's First Jump

Jane is getting very close to walking and so we are trying to capture it on film. And while she didn't take her first step tonight, she did take her first jump.

Birthday Parties

This has been the summer of birthdays it seems and this morning we went to a party at the park. Cha Cha had a great time seeing all her friends from school. She enjoyed cake and wearing a party hat, but her favorite was...

the pinata! She swung at it so hard...

and tried and tried to bust it open. Thankfully some bigger kids were there and they were able to break it open so everyone could enjoy the candy inside.


Jane didn't go to the party but she is so cute how could I not include a picture of her???

Baking Cookies

Betty Crocker better watch out, Cha Cha is on the loose and ready to bake with the best of them.

Cha Cha still has the great abilty to get her sister to laugh.

Pool time

We set up the kid's pool in the backyard today - anything to water the lawn, right? At first, Jane wasn't sold on the idea...

But she changed her mind pretty quickly and had a great time!

Silly Cha Cha

There were a few moments this morning that were very entertaining. Here Cha Cha looks very worried about the house in the back ground.

The reason she was worried was that she has been on a kick of watching sleeping beauty and inside the house was this spinning wheel and she didn't want to prick her finger and fall asleep for 100 years.

Later on in the morning, Cha Cha decided she needed to play the drums on these leaves and trees with her two sticks she picked up along the way.

Then she needed a rest so she laid down on this rock bench...until she saw a bug and hopped up prety quick.
