Our friend the owl

We spent some time in Fredericksburg last weekend, and outside our cottage, we had a friendly little owl who whistled at us as we sat on the front porch. He seemed very interested in the farm cat that stayed with us -- I guess they were friends. It was nice to have our own owl -- we don't have one in Round Rock and now I miss him.

I wanna be a cowgirl!

My Mommy, Daddy, Nanna and PopPop took me on a trip last weekend. We went to an old Texas town called Fredericksburg. And there I got the most beautiful cowgirl hat. After I got my hat, I said "Giddy-up!" and went looking for a horse to ride. And I found one! He was super fast, and I got to ride him TWO TIMES! Everyone walking by smiled at me, and I smiled right back, because I knew...I was the only real cowgirl in Fredericksburg. Uncle Russ, eat your heart out!

I am crawling

I am five months and two weeks old, according to my Mommy. And I can CRAWL! That's right, I am a big crawler. I crawl so much I have rug burn on my knees and elbows. But that doesn't stop me -- a little lotion and I am good to go!

Me and my special friends

Here I am with some of my special friends from school. We had such a good time learning to dance together. I hope we're friends forever.

I'm a beautiful ballerina

Last Sunday was my very first dance recital. It was wonderful! My Mommy and Daddy took lots of pictures and some of them are in the web album. Everyone says I was the best dancer, and I got a special award for being the dancer who was best at the Cha-Cha! At least I think that's what the award was for. Everyone got one for doing something special.

My tongue is escaping my mouth

When I start having fun, my tongue wiggles out of my mouth. Everyone seems to like it, so I don't understand why everyone doesn't do it. If people would go to work and walk down the street with their tongues hanging out, there'd be more happiness and fun in the world.

Let's start "Hanging Tongue Day"!

Going on a bear hunt

Daddy and I took a hike in the woods last week - okay, so really it was a walk on the neighborhood nature trail, but it was about as woodsy as I get. I had so much fun finding sticks and rocks and bugs and grass. It was awesome!

Big Girl Bed

Mommy and daddy gave me a BIG surprise this morning...I got a PRINCESS BIG GIRL BED! I love it so much. Mommy even got me a step stool that matches my bed so I can climb into my bed easily.

So close to crawling

Baby Jane is getting so close to crawling! She likes to get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth. She is so close to crawling which I know she will enjoy more than rolling around the floor like does now to get around.

I'm a good mommy!

In honor of mother's day, I'm practicing being a mommy. Here I am with my friend Izzie. I put a bib on her, and then put her in Baby Jane's bumbo seat (she didn't mind since she was in her saucer), and then gave Izzie a snack and some milk to drink. Don't I look like a good mommy?

Me and my cousins

I like it when my cousins come over to play with me. Tonight Jake, Natalie, and Emily came over and had dinner and then we were soooo full that we crawled into bed and watched TV together. It was such a nice night.
